Level II

After completing the Level I Packing Seminar at the barn, graduate to our Level II Seminar in Yellowstone National Park. We'll load up our quiet riding and pack stock, and meet you in the wilds of the Northwest Corner. For this adventure, we provide everything except your personal belongings, like a change of clothes, toothbrush and if you choose your own riding helmet.

The Level II Packing Seminar will review and put into practice all of the skill we learned in Level I.

Other skills we'll practice are:

• Stringing mules together
• Leading a string down a trail
• Setting up a bear safe camp
• Backountry cooking safety
• Low impact camping techniques

This is a great opportunity to hone the skills you have previously learned and put them into practice in a real backcountry situation. Doing it yourself with an expert guide there to answer your questions as they come up, will make the experience all the more enjoyable. You'll come away with the ability to take your own stock out and explore the backcountry with confidence. If you desire a little more help, our Level III Seminar is design so we can come with you on your first trip and guide you through that ground breaking trip with your own stock.
