(July 22-26)  Slough Creek (4 Day)

This trip will thrill fisherman and riders alike with the great fishing and the spectacular scenery of Yellowstone National Park.  For the fisherman, you can ride into camp and spend the next three days fishing until your heart is content.  The fish are big, the water is slow and clear and at this time of year.  These 18 to 20 inch cutthroats are hungry.  For the rider we can head up to Bliss Pass to see some of the most extraordinary scenery as we look over Pebble Creek for 9,000 feet and the Absaroka range in the distance.

(July 28 - August 1) Washburn Expedition - Yellowstone Lake (5 Day)

With Special Guest: Dr. Kim Alan Scott Author of Yellowstone Denied:The life of Gustavus Cheney Doane

For those who like to ride, this progressive travel trip will take us on a fifty to sixty mile trip following the route of General Henry Dana Washburn as he and eight other men "discovered" the Upper Yellowstone and worked diligently to make it a National Park. We'll stay along the lake our first night, then move down and ford the Yellowstone River, each day discussing the trip and trials of the Washburn, Langford, Doane party. Our last night will be spent on the shores of Heart Lake discussing the perils of Truman Everts who was lost here for 37 days, and the current values of the National Park system set in motion by this historic party. Our information is pulled from the published journals and papers of the members of this party. Come follow the trail of the founders of Yellowstone National Park.  (Progressive Travel)

$2000.00 per person  (8 Available)

(August 4-8) Mirror Plateau (5 Day)

On this adventuresome trip we will follow the old buffalo trails up onto the Mirror Plateau. We are currently working on scheduling a retired ranger as an expert guide for part of the time, and he will enlighten us with some of the unique history of this secluded area of Yellowstone National Park.  Our explorations will take us to the old buffalo salt licks leftover from the time when the Park Service used to ranch buffalo.  We will also visit the thermal areas, which are so remote, few have ever seen them. This area has very limited access and it is a real privilege to be one of the few to explore this remote part of Yellowstone National Park.

$1800.00 per person  (8 Available)

(August 11-15)  Fishing on the Bechler River (5 Day)

Join us for some great fishing as we camp along the shores of the Bechler River and pursue 20 – 24 inch Rainbow Trout.  The fish are big and fighters.  When you get one on the line you know it!  Come fish the still, glassy, deep waters of the Bechler River with the Teton Mountains in the distance.  Experience moose walking through the meadows and eagles nesting in trees over looking the river.  This is a once in a lifetime wilderness experience.  When we’re not fishing, we’ll be finding some of the hidden warm water treasures of the backcountry of Yellowstone National Park to swim in and relax.

$2250.00 per person  (8 Available)

(August 20-24) Fishing the Lamar River (5 Day)

One of Yellowstone National Park’s premier fishing spots, the Lamar River Valley provides deep pools and large active fish.  We will ride up the canyon, out of reach of the majority of the visitors to Yellowstone National Park, for some pristine fishing waters.  Besides fishing, bring your camera.  Wolves, bears buffalo, and elk are all known to frequent these areas.  While we’re here we’ll discuss the Nez Perce Indians who traveled right through this area as they fled from the army in Yellowstone National Park in 1877.

$1750.00 per person (8 Available)

(August 26-29)  Slough Creek (4 Day)

Another hot spot in Yellowstone National Park’s fishing adventure is Slough Creek.  Big fish, slow waters, and spectacular scenery make this one of the most sought after places to fish.  We ride in and set up one camp and then concentrate on fishing.  Some of the best hatches come off in the evening so, once you’re done eating dinner, feel free to go back down and fish till dark.  We’ll leave the lantern on for ya!

 $1400.00 per person (8 Available)

(August 31 - September 5)  Thorofare (6 Day)

Come to Yellowstone National Park’s most secluded and beautiful area.  Thirty-three miles from any road, in any direction, this place is one of the most remote locations in the lower 48 states.  Come travel with us.  Learn about the mountain men who passed through this area, hear the stories of rangers capturing poachers who tried to take advantage of the remote places for their own benefit.  This trip is a progressive travel trip where we will move every day and see new scenery and new places. Our gentle horses will cover some miles as we follow the Yellowstone River near its source flow down to Yellowstone Lake.  And though this isn’t a designated fishing trip bring your fly rod along, there will be places every evening to fish, and the resident fish down here though small in numbers are not small in size.

$2400.00 per person (8 Available)

(September 8-12)  Hoodoo Basin (5 Day)

Let’s explore another remote and often unseen place in the Park.  Our retired Ranger and special guest John Lounsbury may come along with us as we head through the wild Lamar River Canyon home of wolves, bears and buffalo and ride to the base of Parker Peak.  From here we’ll explore the Hoodoo Basin with its wonderful wind weathered formations and haunting solitude.

(September 15-19)  Bechler River Country – Photography (5 Day)

Come to Yellowstone National Park’s Cascade Corner and photograph the magnificent waterfalls.  This time of year is spectacular in Yellowstone National Park.  The brilliant colors of autumn, the bright blue skies and crisp white clouds create the perfect back drop for photography here in America’s wonderland.  Take time to capture the people, horses, wildlife and scenery.  In the off time, relax in the warm waters of this area to rest your bones and rejuvenate your soul.
