Directions

The first step in planning you route is to decide which entrance you will be using.  The map below outlines all the major routes and entrances into Yellowstone National Park.  There are 4 main entrances: West Yellowstone, MT (West Entrance), Gardiner, MT (North Entrance), the East Entrance and the South Entrance.  There is a fifth entrance, the Northeast Entrance at Cooke City, but most guests do not use this route.

When flying, most of our clients come into Bozeman, MT (BZN), Jackson Hole, WY (JAC) or Salt Lake City, UT (SLC).  Please review all the information before deciding which airport works best for your needs.  Also, please keep in mind that you SHOULD NOT fly in or out on ANY DAY of your trip.  Please plan at least one day before and after for your travel.

Main Entrances

When you enter the Park you will receive a map of the entire Park that will correspond with the map below. This map outlines the major travel routes in the park.  In order to get to the trailhead you will be traveling on one of these roads.  When you book your trip we will give you detailed directions to the trailhead specific to that trip. If you have any questions please fell free to contact us and we can give you any more specifics.
